Kenyan Bush Beaches and Cities Holiday

Kenyan Bush Beaches and Cities Holiday

Magical safaris, growling lions, smiling crocodiles, and idyllic scenery, coupled with luxury accommodation to ensure maximum holiday enjoyment!

During this 10-days African adventure, you’ll experience Kenya in all its glory, hopping from the cities of Nairobi and Mombasa to the rolling plains of the Maasai Game Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park (and hopefully making some furry friends along the way!).

Kenya is a bold, unparalleled and majestic land where beasts roam, birds soar and plants glitter beneath the glare of the African sun. Wedged between Somalia to the north east and Tanzania to the south, Kenya is widely recognized as a hotspot for wildlife viewing and safaris, offering visitors an unforgettable glimpse into how the local animals behave in their natural habitat.

Once you’ve reached down in Kenya, your first stop will be Nairobi, the undisputed safari capital of Africa. What does this mean for you? Plenty of animals, birds and snapping jaws. On the second day of your trip, you’ll head to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to the largest population of rhinos, as well as enormous colonies of flamingos which often turn the shores a bright shade of pink. An overnight stay in this glorious park will give you plenty of time to marvel at the Makalia waterfalls and spot Thomson gazelles, impalas, leopards and buffaloes lurking in the brush.

Then, even more, wildlife awaits you in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve (the northern extension of the Serengeti) whose rolling plains form a playground for the “Big Five”; lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffaloes. These breath-taking beasts will stalk their prey or frolic playfully before your eyes, doing so to a soundtrack of chirps from approximately 470 different species of birds which are present in the Maasai Mara. Keep your eyes peeled for leopards and cheetahs during your safari drives too and prepare for the guide to provide plenty of context and information about all of these incredible species.

Next, you’ll spend a full four days in the enchanting metropolis of Mombasa, Kenya’s second largest city whose border with the Indian Ocean offers incredible beaches, magnificent marine life, and luxury hotel stays. Your time in Mombasa is your choice (with the option of a city tour available if you so desire). Whether you choose to meander around the Old Town, try your hand at bird watching at Mtwapa Creek or catch the latest Bollywood smash hit at the Nyali Theatre, Mombasa has something to please everyone in your party. It is also home to golden, sandy beaches and swaying palms – perfect for anyone who puts R and R at the top of their holiday priority list!
