Kenya bush, beaches, & cities

Kenya bush, beaches, & cities

Magical safaris, growling lions, smiling crocodiles, and idyllic scenery, coupled with luxury accommodation, to ensure maximum holiday pampering!

During this ten days African adventure, you'll experience Kenya in all its glory, hopping from the cities of Nairobi and Mombasa to the rolling plains of the Maasai Game Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park (and hopefully making some furry friends along the way!).

Kenya is a bold, unparalleled, and majestic land where beasts roam, birds soar, and plants glitter beneath the glare of the African sun. Wedged between Somalia to the northeast and Tanzania to the south, Kenya is widely recognized as a hotspot for wildlife viewing and safaris, offering visitors an unforgettable glimpse into how the local animals operate in their natural habitat.

Once you've touched down in Kenya, your first stop will be Nairobi, the undisputed safari capital of Africa. On the second day of your trip, you'll head to Maasai Mara. Fantastic creatures await you in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve (the northern extension of the Serengeti), whose rolling plains form a playground for the "Big Five"; lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffaloes. These breath-taking beasts will stalk their prey or frolic playfully before your eyes, doing so to a soundtrack of chirps from some 470 different species of birds that are present in the Maasai Mara. Keep your eyes peeled for leopards and cheetahs during your safari drives, as well. And prepare for the guide to talk your ear off about all these beautiful species.

After Maasai Mara visits Lake Nakuru National Park, which hosts the largest population of rhinos, as well as vast colonies of flamingos, which often turn the shores as a bright shade of pink. You'll get to stay overnight in this glorious park, and will give you plenty of time to marvel at the Makalia waterfalls and spot Thomson gazelles, impalas, leopards, and buffaloes lurking in the thicket.

Next, you'll spend a full four days in the enchanting metropolis of Mombasa, Kenya's second-largest city whose border with the Indian Ocean makes for some out-of-this-world beaches, spellbinding marine life and high-end hotel stays. Lest you are bound to a strict itinerary, your time in Mombasa can spend according to you (with the option of a city tour available if you so desire). Whether you choose to meander around the Old Town, try your hand at bird watching at Mtwapa Creek or catch the latest Bollywood smash hit at the Nyali Theater, Mombasa has something to please everyone in your party. It is also home to golden, sandy beaches and swaying palms – perfect for anyone who puts R and R at the top of their holiday priority list!

Discover St Petersburg and Moscow

Discover St Petersburg and Moscow

This tour includes a delightful seven nights' stay in two of Russia’s iconic metropolis

Russia is vast and varied – both culturally and geographically. Enormous icy cold wasteland dominates the eastern part, while the west plays host to sprawling, cosmopolitan cities. From subtropical coastlines to dense, shadow-clad forests, there is plenty to do in the world’s largest nation.

Our exclusive action-packed stay in the land of Soviet tsars and Stolichnaya vodka will see you revel in the sights and delights of St. Petersburg and Moscow  – two of the country’s most iconic cities.

Starting off in a port city sitting by the Baltic Sea, St. Petersburg was founded by Peter the Great in the early 18th-century. With theatrical venues, operatic oeuvres and world-renowned museums galore, the city is a breeding ground for art, history, and culture.

One of its must-sees is the Winter Palace and Hermitage Museum – both housed in the same gloriously captivating building dating back to the late 1760s. The city is beautifully displaying a collection of over three million pieces spanning the globe, this enormous palace-museum; is one of the city’s prime attractions – home to the works of Rembrandt, Leonardo and Michelangelo.

After that, pay a visit to Peter and Paul Fortress (the burial site of the Romanov Tsars) or fall in love with the jazzy-toned Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood – Russian architecture at its finest.

After gawping at techni-colored spires and candy-colored domes, take a wander through the gardens of Peterhof Palace. Bursting with manicured lawns and gushing water features, the gardens offer a breath of fresh air and are ideal for serendipitous strolls.

Next is your train from St. Petersburg to Moscow! What a better way to end your tour than experiencing the capital of Russia? Here, you'll get to throw yourself at the mercy of galleries, museums, and palaces.

Your first port of call might be Red Square, nestled in the city’s epicenter and fringed by St Basil’s Cathedral, the State History Museum, and Lenin’s Mausoleum. This means you can tick off plenty of things on your bucket list all within a couple of hours.
Last but never least, stand in line for the chance to gawp at the embalmed body of Lenin at his mausoleum, wander over to GUM (Russia’s main department store) for a bit of a splurge, or take a tour of the Kremlin museum complex.

Wonders Of Ecuador And Galapagos

Wonders Of Ecuador And Galapagos

With timeless rural villages backed by mighty volcanoes and clear, azure waters teeming with sea lions, sharks, and sea turtles, the Galápagos Islands and mainland Ecuador are two destinations you don’t want to miss out ever! Wander through the tangle of Quito’s ancient streets, visit beautiful local towns such as Otavalo, and island-hop within the wildlife-life rich Galápagos Islands!

Straddling the equator and home to a hodgepodge of diverse landscapes (from thick Amazon jungle to boulder-strewn Andean highlands and the beautiful Galápagos Islands), Ecuador is one of South America’s must-sees.

Quito is the country’s capital, nestled up high in the Andean foothills at a whopping 2,850 meters in altitude. Built on the foundations of an ancient Incan city, you expect Quito to be a living, breathing historical treasure trove; its 16th and 17th-century churches, Moorish-style structures, and well-preserved colonial center are certainly a nod to its historical heritage.

After wandering Quito and visiting the Equator Monument to the north, you’ll venture to Mindo (nestled in the Ecuadorian rainforest) and then to indigenous Otavalo (a town fringed by volcanoes). Sample Mindo’s local chocolate, feed bird-sized butterflies at the nursery and then tour Otavalo’s handicraft market.

Continue the tour with visits to other quaint towns and villages such as Cotacachi, Peguche, hot springs at Papallacta and finally visit the snow-capped active Stratovolcano of Cotopaxi before heading back to Quito.

Next, you’ll be whisked off to the paradisiacal Galápagos Islands – a volcanic archipelago in the Pacific Ocean lying 1000 km off the coast of Ecuador. The islands are unparalleled in beauty and considered one of the best places in the world for wildlife-viewing.

Visiting Isla Baltra first, a small, flat and arid island brimming with prickly pear cacti, you’ll then make your way to the island of Santa Cruz, home to the Charles Darwin Research Station, giant tortoises, sea turtles, and marine iguanas. Its natural harbor, Academy Bay, offers ample opportunity for swimming and snorkeling within crystal-clear waters.

And after combing the Santa Cruz highlands for enormous tortoises and snorkeling within azure waters, fall in love with the island of San Cristóbal (geologically speaking, one of the oldest of the Galápagos archipelago) and Isla Lobos, where sea lions, blue-footed boobies and Frigatebirds roam, before making your way back to mainland Ecuador for a night.
